John Barrowman Sitch A Star!
So here it is, the John Barrowman Stitch A Star Chart! I found a copy of the magazine with this chart in it on ebay. After I won, I knew I had to share it here since it seems like someone is always looking for it.

However, I apoligize for my scanning! I was trying to get it sized so it would print a decent size and not be so small that trying to stitch it would make you go blind looking at tiny, tiny little boxes! So I have one that's in color and is pretty much the original, just how it scanned. There is one in black and white that is the original size it scanned. Then there is one that I cropped, I made the actual chart one image so I could fit it to an 8x11.5 standard piece of printer paper. Then the color symbols are a separate image. It'll make more sense when you look at them I hope!

Large images, beware! If you're on a slower connection it might be easier to view them directly from my flickr account at this link:

Also, I was wondering if anyone would mind sharing their favorite Captain Jack Harkness quotes? I want to add a quote to mine when I stitch it but I can't settle on just one! Anything from Torchwood or Doctor Who! Thanks!

This is awesome! I may have to take up cross-stitch again.

As for a quote, how about "The twenty-first century is when everything changes"?

How about my favorite quote from Jack in DW:

"Who looks at a screwdriver and thinks 'Oo! This could be alittle more sonic!'?"

cool, I have never been any good at cross stich but this might tempt me to give it another go.

Make sure you post up a pic once you have finnished it.

For the quotes you could also use quotes about him such as:

Captain cheesecake

or

Captain of the innuendo squad

other quotes I like are:

'do I look like an out-of-bounds type guy'

'I've got a banana, and in a pinch, you could put up some shelves'

'ladies your viewing figures went up'

'never doubted him, never will'

For about a year, maybe more, my text message sound on my phone was "Captain Jack Harkness" "Stop it" "Can't I say hello to anyone?" -- the last part might work great :)

Then there's always Ianto's "Love the Coat" ;)

Man...once my mom is up to needlepoint again I may have to bribe her to stitch this for me! :D

That is totally amazing! Love it, love it, LOVE IT!!!

Suggestion for quote: "I am what I am." perhaps? :)

Cool!

For a quote:

"You people and your quaint little categories." (Though you might want to check the exact wording on that.)

Thank you! I'm a stitcher from way back, so it is nice to see dear John listed. Everybody else has pretty much said my favorite quotes. Here are just a few more.

Under any other circumstances, an exuberant Roman soldier would be my idea of a perfect morning.

No other race in the universe goes camping. Celebrate your own uniqueness!

Ianto, come in Ianto. If I don't hear those beautiful Welsh vowels, I'm coming to look for you

I don't exist. And for a man with my charisma, that is quite an achievement.

Thank you so much for sharing this pattern! I love to cross stitch too and would love to see a photo of it once you've finished it :)

For a quote:

"There's really a banana grove at the heart in Villengard? And you did that?"
"Bananas are good."

I do have the above pattern somewhere in the stash as well as some rather big ones of Captain Jack I acquired through e-Bay a few years back, again in my Doctor Who patterns.

People might also want to know there is an alternative full colour one of David Tennant one from "Cross Quick And Easy" from March 2006 issue #137
