Hello all! Last year for my sports carnival I dressed up as the TARDIS.
(I blacked myself out, and the Tom Baker on the side is my friend- she even knitted a long scarf herself.)
After weeks of diligent painting- and yes, I know, it's not quite the right shade of blue- I had the best possible costume in which to run the 100m sprint. Actually it was sort of hard to run fast inside the box, as it was heavy- it even had a cardboard top with a little fake light on top. Of course I came last in the race but hopefully I raised awareness of TARDISes at my school!
And I even made myself a pair of TARDIS shoes. I painted the canvas shoes with acrylic paint...
Unfortunately two of my friends got inside the TARDIS and tripped so it got a huge rip down its side, and I had to throw it out a few weeks later. It was not an easy decision to make.
