A bit of Plastic Canvas to TARDIS around in
So I moved back to Washington state and my sister gave me a box of tissues.  I was staring at it and thought I need the Doctor...PhotobucketSo I was digging through my old plastic canvas and was able to fit the piece up. PhotobucketI made the light on top a little big, but it's alright.PhotobucketI didn't notice I didn't finish the BOX until I was sowing it together.  I did finish the word then.  Felt DOH! that I didn't see it sooner.PhotobucketMy odd sense of humor made me add the "Bad Wolf" on the back panel.PhotobucketThe finished project. It took me a week to finish. I had forgotten how bad it could be working with yarn and plastic canvas, but it was so worth it. If I ever do one for the longer box, I have it all planned out, it will be just the top half of the TARDIS. I'm planning it out in my head. I think that makes me one sick puppy!

Actuallly if you did a long one the top could be the TARDIS's front door.

I did think of the front door for the longer box. Then the thought of doing the top of the TARDIS popped into my head. That way you could get the full police public call box on two of the 4 sides. LOL!

I know I'm insane.

Thanks, it was very fun to make.

(Pssst so when are going to get more letters of the ABC's?) I've been getting request from people. I tell them where I got them from and tell just how far we have. No pressure, though!

Yay! Plastic canvas + the TARDIS = 2 of my loves finally coming together! ;) That's awesome, great job with it! :D ♥!

Before I was brave enough to do cross stitch, plastic canvas was hobby of choice. I actually still have a lot of it in my craft tote, so I could go crazy if I wanted to. (Just don't ask about the plastic canvas teddy bear I did as the 5th Doctor. I'm not sure it is still hanging around)

Ah now, if you ever find 5th Doctor Teddy Bear, you've got to take a pic of him, lol! ;) Plastic canvas is still pretty much my favorite "hands on" hobby like that but I haven't tried anything DW yet. ♥!

I mostly do cross stitch now, but I had to drag out the plastic canvas for that(plus my sister wants me to do up some covers for her boxes here in the house and in her car).

There isn't much you can't do in plastic canvas if you put your mind to it. Hell I thought of doing DW pix frames for the shits and giggles of it. I'm crazy though.

That is SO true! :D I love how you can do anything from 2D flat (I did a sort of landscape "painting" once) to 3D (a free-standing "stuffed animal" horse) to a model (a replica of Bag End I made to house my Lord of the Rings action figures, speaking of crazy, ahem *laughs* ;) ). It's both fun to do yet can be functional as well! :D

I think DW pic frames would be awesome! ♥!

I need to see this replica of Bag End.

I'll get the camera out and take a few pics of it tomorrow! :D Will edit in the link to my LJ when I have 'em posted. :D

Back on topic, tpeej, you've totally inspired me to try a TARDIS of my own as soon as I find yarn in an appropriate shade of blue! \o/ ♥!

It's not hard to do. You just need time, plastic canvas, scissors and yarn.

Plastic canvas, one of the first crafts I ever did!! This is awesome. Also, I laughed at your mythbusters cat icon. :)

My partner in the craft swap made me a plastic canvas tissue box cover very similar to this! I love it, makes me giggle madly to look at it even when the allergies are killing me.
