it's been ages since I checked in with a Doctor Who project, but finally inspiration came and made me laugh out loud. I just had to write this up.
“It’s a fez, I wear a fez now… Fezzes are cool”
Flip top mitts featuring Matt Smith’s bowtie and favourite fez. Mitts flip towards front of hand & fasten with buttons so as not to obscure bowtie
Pattern PDF and more pics can be found here

I'd been meaning to create flip top mitts for a while, but wasn't sure of a theme. Then I saw a couple of stencil style images that just showed Matt Smith's bowtie and fez and the idea of featuring these on some mitts came to mind.
I hope they make you laugh too - and that they could be handy for Doctor Who swaps and the like!

They would also be cute if the bow was further down, and it was used the way the button on these gloves usually is. Did that make any sense? Instead of having a button so you can fasten the mitten part down, you made the loop of yarn a little longer and it could just fasten to the bowtie.
