I have had this project on the go for ages now....and last week I finally decided to finish him. I have spent about the past year or so on and off looking in fabric shops and getting close matches for all the coat panels....I had all the coat material long before I started on the doll itself. I then made a coat design after studying pictures and various DVDs etc.
The trousers and coat cuffs are yellow fabric with the black stripes added in fabric marker. I used a sewing machine for some of the costume (the shirt, waistcoat and trousers) but the coat was made entirely by hand because it' s so intricate. The coat is not lined, but I ironed on some Vilene stiffener on each of the patchwork panels.
I would love to make a full size Six coat to fit me, but I don't know if I would have the patience!
If anyone's interested in seeing my Six coat pattern I made, I would be happy to post it for others to use as a guide.
He's called Little Sixie, by the way......
And here is the back of the coat!

I got to see Colin in a panto this past Christmas. Terry Molloy was in it, too, and they were fantastic. Even got TARDIS sound effects and a Davros joke.

I love that he has a cat-pin. For serious glee and love.
