Beware the Weeping Angels
Y'all might have noticed that your friendly community moderator has been slacking a bit lately. No updates. No organizing. What the heck was she doing that kept her so busy elsewhere?!

Absolutely MASSIVE amounts of pictures under the cut, sorryCollapse )

This is the 'making-of' post - if you want to read the 'in-costume' post, it's over here on dw_cosplay.

Utterly brilliant and astonishing! And I must say, those are some of the best wings I've ever seen in a costume. Marvelous rig you made for them!

Blink has to be one of my favorite DW episodes of all time. That was one episode that truly had me hiding behind the couch with the suspense and fear. Wonderful job!

Thank you for the compliment on the wings! I was so pleased with how they came out, so it makes me happy that other people like them, too.

Oh, my God. That is the most incredible thing I have ever seen. EVER. O_O

That's amazing. You look just like the real thing (I originally thought the first pic was straight from the ep) and you have so much attention to detail. Mad kudos. Though in a way I'm quite relieved I couldn't be at the con - you would have scared the everliving crap out of me.

This is pretty extraordinary! Wow, I'm in awe.

Can't help but ask...did anyone blink? ;)
penwiper337penwiper337 on September 5th, 2008 01:13 pm (UTC)
Well, I was working on the theory that the only reason I could move at all was because 40,000 people were blinking in unison. That's likely.... right?

I was at DragonCon this weekend, too - WHY DIDN'T I SEE YOU!?!?

That is one of the most amazing costumes i've ever seen.

Well, obviously, you must have blinked. ;) Thank you!

No one's going to outdo this one... And thanks for the detailed making of!

I love the details.

Absolutely magnificent. I loved the little touches -- the fake nails on the gloves and toe socks -- the "BAD WOLF" graffiti -- the inside pockets!

*adds to memories* This is insane. And if I ever need to change the colour of my skin for something, I'm going to totally use that panty hose idea, it worked really really well. Was it difficult to paint the one with your not dominant hand?

Thank you for the making of! It's pretty much insane. I like the idea of the backpack rig for the wings. Were they nice and secure, even with all the people around?

*Will show this to friends and family.*
